WORK DONE
Kimbuta Rural Development Programme has only been in existence for three years but already it has enabled local people to make a great difference to their lives. Sums of money which would achieve little in the United Kingdom can make an enormous difference in Uganda.
Projects KRDP has supported include:
£900 provided a water collection and pumping system to meet the needs of the clinic
and its immediate area
£1500 provided desks for 800 children and their teachers
£250 provided text books for the top three primary years in each of
English, Maths, Science and Social Studies
£1000 enabled the clinic to be redecorated and fitted with a false ceiling
£7500 provided a new community centre and
church building
£5500 provided two new classrooms and teachers rooms at the
high school
£800 provided a gas-fuelled fridge to enable the clinic to store
vaccines
